Fitting Alfa seats ?

Post by MagicWagon »

Has anyone fitted Alfa 147 (or 156 which I think are very similar) in their t25 ? And if so is there a lot of faffing about required ? I bought some nice heated leather 147 seats for my stag but it turned out the bases were too high, so I thought they might be nice in the van . I have a swivel base on one side. If much grinding and fabrication is involved I probably won't bother.

I fitted them but had to take the swivel off the drivers side because it stopped the seat going up and down, it was just a matter of redialling holes other than that, and they are real comfy.

Thanks. That's reassuring. In that case I will whip a seat out and offer up an Alfa seat to see how it looks. Not too bothered about it going up and down, I haven't got that now. Did you notice much difference in height, especially any reduction in gap between thigh and steering wheel ? Don't suppose you have any pics to hand ?

I did that is why I needed it to be adjustable.

I fitted Alfa Momo leather seats (not sure which model they're from) in my T25 on swivel bases. I had to cut off two metal 'tabs' from the Momo seat bases which was relatively easy with a hacksaw, and drill 2 new holes in both of the swivel bases but it was all relatively straightforward and the height adjuster on the driver's seat still works. They are marginally higher that the standard seats I took out but that's as much to do with the addition of swivel bases, still plenty of clearance for the knees under the steering wheel. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. I offered them up and they look great, but would need adjusting/fettling and I don't think I'll bother as my seats are quite good. May offer them up for sale soon when I have time for pics.
