Does the Turbo Diesel tailpipe fit a NA diesel?

Post by nevill3 »

I need to order a new tailpipe and Mr Baxter has two flavours of stainless but they are listed for the turbo diesel. would they fit on my 1.6NA exhaust, I guess what I am really asking is has anybody else fitted one and are the holes on the flange the same for both engine types.

I have trawled the brickwerks site and found a standard non stainless pipe that will have to do, now what size bolts will I need to replace the rusted excuses that re on there at the moment?

If anybody could help please tell me, I am holding off placing an order with Mr Baxter just in case he stocks them. I live in the wilds of the lake district and so do not have ready access to engineering companies that may have a supply of the correct bolts so would prefer to get some posted.

Thanks

Best thing would be to drop Brickwerks a line - they'll have a better idea than most of the rest of us.

Thanks I have contacted them and will wait before placing my order, if I keep looking the number of items in my boot keeps growing......as does the cost

Things I know I should have such as spare glow plug fuses, spare cv joint bolts, a length or two of fuel hose, but which one, a new gaiter for the gear select lever, a replacement blank pipe for the injectors, new wheel nuts and bolts, and cv boots.......

A quick update, Brickwerks replied and gave the advice I needed including what to order in case the threads on the flange get damaged during the extraction of the old bolts. Placed my order, along with a few extra essentials.

I had to stop adding things to my basket/boot because the shipping fees jumped from £7.58 to £60.00 when I added a CV boot kit and CV joint bolts :o
