Power Steering Pump

Post by Palomino »

Does anyone know if, apart from the bracket, there is any difference between the diesel and petrol versions of the power steering pump?

Diesel version is easy to find on the web from several outlets including Amazon (£127 for a new one) and ebay (£85 new) at a reasonable price but the only specifically petrol version I've found is on VW heritage - £300 for a rebuilt job  . However, they all look the same apart from the brackets. Brickwerks have a diesel version at £237, but claim it will fit petrol with a different bracket, but its always out of stock. So are all these pumps the same?

Any light on this would be appreciated.

Cheers

Phil

Happy to report that you can get a replacement recon pump from ACS at Tamworth for £114, though you also get £25 back on your old pump.

If its a petrol engine you just need to swap the brackets over to fit it.

Sorted!

Ps thanks for the offer multsi.
