Trailing Arm Bolts?
I've just bought some new bushes to go into the trailing arms on my 1981 T3, and on trying some 12 mm bolts found that they were a terrible fit. The bolts are brand new high quality items, so it's not them - are the bushes all like this? I assume a certain amount of clearance is necessary to get everything to line up due to the staggered mountings, but as an ex-racecar engineer, I find myself struggling to accept it! I'd therefore be most grateful if anyone who knows about this would be kind enough to let me know their thoughts on the matter!

I'd imagine the tolerances are a bit different on vw! I found it hard to find somewhere that sold 10.9 strength bolts so I have 8.8s on there at the moment.

Brickwerks sell the correct bolts. They are a stronger grade for a reason...

They should do, but they're out of stock!
