Power steering pipes advice

Hi, my T25 has failed its MOT due to leaking power steering pipes. It's a RHD, automatic, petrol and the front to rear feed & return pipes. My garage advised me to order the replacement pipes from Just Kampers, but nearly a month after placing the order they now say that at least one they can no longer get. The original part numbers are 251-422-897 and 251-422-857.

So with just over a week to go until Glastonbury(!), I could do with some advise on what quick alternatives there are - the ones from JK are the metal pipes, but would flexible hoses be OK and either getting a local company to make some up or get the ones from Brickwerks, their universal T3 pipe kit (T3-PAS-PipeKit) if they have them in stock?

You could have them made up by pirtek or similar.

But you won't save much over buying the ready made ones from Brickwerks.

Is it still a question of getting the MOT? Would they be okay with taking the power steering belt off, draining the system and then treating it as manual steering just to get it out of the garage? It shouldn't really cause any issues with the system as long as the pump is not running dry. Our van has just gone through its MOT like this as it needs a new rack and the money for this is currently allocated to other things.

I need to get it through MOT so I can take it on the 300 mile round trip (mostly motorway driving) to Glastonbury and I'm quite happy to do that without the power steering if that is ok to do. I'll give the garage a call to see if they are prepared to do accept that!
