Replace Rear left handbrake cable

Post by pleasestartnow »

Hi all, seem to be asking lots of questions these days :) and getting really good help! So my latest question is, is any good guides on replacing the handbrake cable going to my back left wheel. I have the cable ordered and it has been delivered and it looks like a simple swap out. But just before I start is there anything I should watch for or just a guide to follow somewhere? Couldn't see anything on the forum or wiki.

Cheers

Extremely straightforward job really. Wheel & drum off, unlatch the cable from the shoe. Cable should push through ok. The grommet may be a tad tight but should work loose eventually. Would advise to do both sides at same time though.

Ya I wasn't really thinking when I just ordered one cable as I just saw the existing one was in bits. Thanks for the help though, will get cracking on that tonight maybe.
