Anyone know the diameter of the thin coolant hose that goes from the expansion/filler tank behind the number plate to the pressurized header tank. This is for a diesel but suspect petrol watercooled the same. My water pump pulley bearing has worn out and the wobbles caused the serpentine belt come off and totally separate. The flailing belt has then ripped the hose cleanly off both tanks.
I have found a second hand pressurized tank (early with metal cap) but the filler tanks seem to be out of stock everywhere inc ebay. So am now looking to repair the one I have by fitting a new spigot something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/1-4-6mm-Tank-C ... B00800GOGG
Am at work right now and have nothing to measure to see what size spigot I need. Also am going to need to order the correct sized hose somewhere and can't seem to see any links to give me an idea of what size I need.

Re: Hose from coolant filler tank to header tank size
Thanks Ralph
Would that be 7mm ID hose?-
Am trying to picture how wide the spigot was before it snapped off. HAve a feeling that 6mm tank connector I linked to may be too small but as it is not under pressure it should not be too difficult to seal.

Well thats it, and if the hose can withstand fuel, it can certainly handle water. Not sure about ID - I just used a length of hose I had left over

Re: Hose from coolant filler tank to header tank size
Managed to track down a second hand reservoir so no need for me to attempt repair of the old one now .
Confirmed with ETKA the hose is 7mm just like the main fuel hose so will see what I can find if the new one does not come with long enough hose.
