Wiring help please

Hello,
I need to find where the wire arrowed in the photo (thanks bigherb) originates. Its the spade connector for the starter motor.

The starter solenoid terminal (DIN terminal 50) is usually red/black on VWs, and originates from a terminal on the ignition switch marked '50'.

PS. The wire indicated in your pic appears to be a retro-fit, the actual terminal 50 wire appears to be dangling to one side..

Yes it is the one in the picture comes from a starter relay.

Er, OK. Clearly some inside knowledge about this particular van is required.. maybe a PM to the installer might be more sensible than a forum post to everyone ?
