Onboard Water Tank

Post by sorchajayne »

Hello.

I've recently purchased a VW T25 Autohomes conversion and there's an onboard water tank under the back seat. I would like to remove it, or at least disconnect it, cut the top open and use it for storage.
We have a large canister with a tap that I can sit on the side overhanging the sink. Next year I'm hoping to install a submersible whale pump with cartridge that you plug in through the outside of the vehicle.

SO! I am hoping for any tips, tricks or help on (a) removing the tank, (b) disconnecting the tank and (c) installing a whale pump which will also involve cutting an access port for it and fitting the water filter housing.

Thank you for reading and thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

Sorcha

I tried unsuccessfully to remove the tank, it seems the furniture is built around the tank and I did not fancy removing this. So opted for cutting away the top , but it was hard going and the resultant gain is limited.
