The correct battery code for a petrol is 065
However a 075 and 085 fit fine
The physical size should be 175mm x 175mm x 305mm maximum

I measured the box at 312mm wide, however, I have recently installed a battery Type 110 (80ah) in mine which measures 315mm but its bloomin tight....still it fits like a glove so the biggest starter battery that will fit in the standard battery box (lid closed).
Type 100 is a safe bet, low profile, around 70ah and about 278mm wide so easily fits.

I too have a type110 ( 175 x 175x 315 ) in my compartment behind the drivers seat , ( it is a very very tight fit , and I would never recommend to anyone to rely on a 315mm wide one fitting on every vehicle )
however mine is the leisure battery , as I moved the main battery to the engine compartment , in the void in front of the taillight cluster on the n/s because it was wasted space and the battery is closer to the alternator and starter motor

A Type 110 80ah starter battery behind the drivers seat and a 110ah leisure in the small cupboard left of the fridge connected together with a hefty bit of wire and a 50amp maxi fuse.
