Headlight not working

Post by RobH »

Are drivers and passenger sides on different fuses? Neither main beam or side light work on drivers side of my van passengers us working fine.

It has recently been in bits for a respray and all looks back together ok, it has retro fitted square lights and I can see passengers side is earthed to lamp holder, drivers diesn't appear to be, I realise this could be difficult to diagnose due to homebred set up but any ideas of what to check?

Headlight not working

I would add a earth point at the back of the other light, , you can never have too many good earths !
And yes, left and right are different fuses

When I flash the lights with the stalk all four come on, so I assume it's not a fuse issue.

If the flash is working it may still be the fuse
It isn't the earth .
Could be the switch

Cheers, switch out and quick blow clean and all seems to be working again.

Good news.... Might be worth looking for a spare switch to carry in the glovebox, in case it happens again...
