Northwest Engine Swap?

Post by Omegaman »

Hello all,

My 1.6D CS engine is getting long in the tooth and I am looking into changing to either the 2.0 GTi or a 1.9 TDi of some description, as it is diesel converted already (from a petrol model around 10 yrs ago), I have most of the parts to do this.

The issue I am having is finding someone willing to do the work. Does anyone have any recommendations/advice or anyone willing to possibly assist a transplant. I am in Lancashire - any suggestions?

Thank you in advance

so I have sourced a low mileage 1Y engine, now I am looking for suggestions/recommendations of garages who can do this work, preferably local to Lancashire who could do it before Camperjam!

Any help greatly appreciated.
