I made a little bracket and drilled the bottom edge of the dash, it can be removed and holes would be hidden underneath.
Don't understand the diagram, where did you get it?
Second thoughts extra earth for illuminated switch right?

my fronts come on with the headlights :?

the switch is a 3-position switch (off/on1/on1+2).

off = 83a and 83b at 0V
on1 = 83a at +13V, 83b at 0V, green led
on1+2 = 83a and 83b at +13V, orange led

If you still have the spare hole above the rear fog lamp switch just fit another original type fog lamp switch.

Thats the fog light switch, I assumed by Spot lights he means driving lights not fog lights

OK but Double O already has a set of extra lamps up front, I presume then, he wants another two lamps aswell as the auxilliary/fog lamps

Spot Lamps

I'm a man of few words, as you know. The lamps in the picture are not wired, but I'm getting to that stage now, hence the question. Ideally I'd like them to come on independently. My existing light switch, like yours is off/side lights/dipped beam, so no good. My fog lamp switch, if it's staged in the same way, I'll use it, I've never given it much attention to be honest. But stage 1 might be the answer. Stage 2 bringing the rear fogs on, of course. If not then, additional toggle switch. The wiring diagram was Google'd, but if it's over complex, please offer any alternatives.

It's already wired.
You just need to connect the lamps to the three position switch (pin 83a) with suitable cabling.

If it's not three position then you can replace it with one from Brickwerks.
Then connect the fronts to it..(as it already has a power supply)

Could not be simpler, in a few words :D

Cool. Thanks.

Just checked and sure enough my existing fog lamp switch is a two stage toggle, so pin 83a it is. This ole bus just keeps delivering and slowly with your help I'm finding its secrets.

But with all things in life, there's the flip side. The Mk2 has a river running through it, this morning. £89 for a sunroof seal, Heritage want!
