Hi
So, Summer the t25 has been out on 2 trips and all is good, but we have been told to line her high top.
Ok, some very basic questions What do we use to line high top?
Do I need to insulate it? And what with. Can I get someone to do it for me I'm in south east london
If there is a how to anywhere please let me know
Thanks all
Omg.... We just got our first campervan. Yipeee

I glued a load of batons to the roof, stuck thin insulation inbetween them and covered a series of wood panels with the stretch carpet and screwed them to the batons. Dead easy with a bit of planning. The batons were old bed struts so already had a slight curve to them, just needed a few grooves cutting to help the, bend a little more. Glue to the roof and use lengths of wood to prop them up whilst they dry. Wish I'd done pictures but it was a mad race to get my van finished at that point.

Yes to insulation, unless your roof is double skinned. Probably the most simple method is to glue closed cell foam directly to the roof with high temp glue from Megavanmats. This is how the German aftermarket converters like Reimo deal with insulating. Afterwards you can do as Winchweight suggested with the mega stretch carpet; easy to use and you get a great finish. I did my T4 four years ago and the lining hasn't moved, despite the high temps we have down here (+50 deg in the sun)
Here's a pic of the T4 roof inside, the T3 is going to be done shortly.
Ok, thanks for info. Will order stuff now and try to get it done ASAP.
How do I know how much to order? My hightop is BIG
Also when fixing lining where is best place to start? Middle of hightop and work my way out or one end to the other
Thanks

Mmmm.... I tried my hardest and failed miserably at lining the hightop
The only bit I like is around the roof vent the rest is a mess.
So, I need to find someone to do it for me.
Does anyone know of anyone in South east London that is good at lining high tops.
Thanks

Stick some pictures up, we may be able to say where or how you went wrong.

That looks fine from where I am. One piece of advice is you won't necessarily see many imperfections once you're in and using the van for holidays etc. There were a few on mine that I quickly forgot about. I see them every now and again but soon get on with enjoying the finer things in life
