Hope thats the end of your woes, seems like you have a whole new van with the number of new parts and testing, good luck with it :D

Cheers Ant, it'll always be playing on my mind but I've now built up so many spares I'm hoping that I'll have enough should anything happen!! I've got a 4 hour drive down to Dorset this time next month so will be a good test!

Yes my bus is going fine (touch wood) my idle/stalling issue has gone but I ended up replacing a lot of the ignition system but its running well and starts first time 8)

When I first had my van it would randomly loose power stutter and falter only to recover again, on a trip through Wales somewhere around snowdonia it started doing it regularly I had no choice but to keep trying different things, it may be a coincidence but after spraying wd40 in the base of the distributor it never failed again.
I can only assume the spring loaded weights were getting stuck.

Yes i think it was probably one of the vac hoses for the tick over and a new coil seemed to sort out the stalling. Several other ignition parts replaced though so can't be 100% sure...
