gearbox (again)

Post by jerrybus »

Hi

In the pdf passed on by ZsZ I noticed that the exploded diagram of the drive flange assembly pictured a washer underneath the circlip to locate the flange itself. When I dismantled my gearbox, there were no washers and when I replaced the flanges there is play fore and aft on the shaft. Does anyone know if some variants don't need the washer? Cheers

It is a spring washer so you need it!

Thanks again ZsZ. I checked again and there was nothing in either side. I'm a bit baffled that it hasn't caused any trouble in the last four years when I've had the van...no point cutting corners now I suppose, but if it's a nine week wait that's going to be a pain. Thanks again for your advice.
