Found the above thread in the archives. I think I have this problem on my van. Been getting a trickle of fluid on the van driver floor just beneath the pedals. I thought it was the brakes but the level on the reservoir isn''t going down.
The clutch pedal feels fine and i can change gears really smoothly; but I suppose in time it won't.
Is this a difficult job to do; how long for a garage would you think?

Re: Clutch Master Cylinder leaking
Errrr..... if the fluid level isn't going down it isn't the clutch either! It's the same reservoir.
Best you get under there to see which one it is that's leaking.

Drip from clutch pedal means clutch master is shot. People always suspect the slave cyl so the master gets ignored but does just as mych work!
In truth the master is easier and quicker to change. An hours work including bleeding it.

Re: Clutch Master Cylinder leaking
ok thanks for the replies. It's certainly brake fluid.
I'll keep an eye on the levels, as I am using the van a bit more recently.
I am going to be having a service done soon on it. Get them to do it.
