T25 Spat flames?

Post by 16vMatt »

Evening all,

Got in from a nice drive and during the evening I made the mistake of thinking 2nd gear was a bit longer than it is. I hit the rev limiter (I think) there was a loud bang like a gunshot and my friend who was behind me told me a flame came out of my exhaust. Could this of caused any lasting damage? The engine wasn't cold had been driving for about 40 minutes. 1.9 petrol DG. Thanks

No, you should be fine. The worst that could have happened is damage to your silencer, but you would know straight away if that had occurred.
