The steel where my front seat belt mount is shot. I tried to get the bolt undone for the seat belt anchor and it just bent the steel upwards without loosening the bolt much.
My question is is it ok to just weld a smallish square say 4X4inches and then redrill the hole or do I need to get one of the Schofield repair panels which seems a bit of an overkill as it looks pretty big.
Also does anyone know what the torque setting is for the seat belt?
Thanks

Re: Front Seat Belt mount
Best to cut a squarish hole back to decent steel ,this will give you the seized bolt etc in your hand. To remove at your leisure LOL, easiest way is a plate of say 2mm with the original nut or another (7/16 unf) and drill original metal and puddle weld through.
