Fuel tank help
I have a very noisey fuel pump on my Ej25 conversion. I have tried 3 x pumps and all the same. These included a cheapo fleabay one, and a Bosch 044 expensive one. All very noisey.
I think I have traced the issue down to the fact I am using the original Fuel tank (1.9DG). It had the return feed on it so I thought it would be OK however I think these tanks had a smaller outlet than the Injection later tanks. I think this restriction is causing the cavition/noise on the pump.
So I am getting a bit confused, the original tank I have at the moment has a return feed but it was not injection model so therefore smaller out let.
Does this mean my only option it to fit an injection model tank and if so what size outlet does that have?

Re: Fuel Tank/Lines Help
Are you using an insulated rubber mount? On heaters it makes all the difference to noise transmitted by the chassis.

yes you need to fit a fi tank, there are internal differences as well as the differently sized spigot outlets
the cheap pumps are noisy anyway I found, I will go to a pierberg but only seem to be available now old stock in germany

Thanks guy
I have found out that the injection tanks have a 12mm out let which much bigger than the no injection tanks with the return feed.
So changing the tank here I come!"

Could also think about a remote swirl pot.
