Relay 43

Post by moloko »

Hello all ,does anyone know where i can source a new/replacement relay 43 .
The original went faulty and has been replaced with something similar,(Mk 2 Golf i believe) however the temp gauge now reads midway as soon as the ignition is switched on ?.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Fit a 42, it replaced 43.
Not sure how it can make the gauge go half way up though.

And just to say it's not a relay, it's a little box of electronic circuitry.

Is the temp gauge still showing half temp from cold, even with relay 43 out?
I think 43 is only for coolant level circuit, so in theory you could remove it and temp gauge should still give temp reading?

If you take it out and you still have incorrect temp reading on the gauge, then I don't think it will be the relay.

Someone may know otherwise though
