Ecu wiring loom

Post by rockthebus »

Hi All
I've got an intermittent fault which I cannot trace so want to change the complete ecu wiring loom. It's for a 2.1 waterboxer with the SS spec engine.
Do you know of anyone who manufactures these?
If I were to make my own where would I get the connector blocks, crimps and outersheath?
Any ideas welcome!
Cheers

Found the little blighter!!

The engine used to randomly cut out, someetimes once in 10 miles, sometimes 10 times in one mile. Would always restart. It was as though the ignition had been turned off.

At the front bulkhead, where the main loom runs left to right, there are 3 grey wires which come out from the loom and are connected in grey housings, well one of them was joined by thin air! The 3 greens which are in the same location were not much better.

I should have realised as the connector behind the airflow meter (fuel pump wires) were just as bad last year.

What exactly do the grey and green wires do?

Thought this had beaten me ;)
