Re: Trying to contact Elite Engines

this dates back to 'the Mick's' days and things may have deteriorated, that I cannot comment on

And I can only speak of the complete and utter disgraceful way I was treated by the original 'Mick'. He replaced my DG with an underpowered DF. It suffered from low oil pressure from day one. Every so often it would chuck out a huge blast of black smoke. Took that back & it was replaced with a proper DG. That dried of oil on the way home due to the oil pump not attached/working. He assured me he would pay the repair bill which came to £200.00 He never did - cheque in post etc etc.
I'm sorry but as far as I'm concerned he's a conman & a cr*p mechanic to boot.

That's fair enough, at least you're speaking of your own experience and I respect that. :ok

Do you have an Elite engine ? Or maybe a horror story you would like to share ? I only ask because I have 2 Elite engines and know others who do too and we don't.

Ian.

I had 5 of them fail and as far as I can recall not one of them made it to 1,000 miles. I did write the who sorry saga on here but it got pruned. I broke down repeatedly often in hazardous situations with my kids on board, repair dates constantly missed, parts bodged on with bits of card etc, new batteries swapped for old, arriving having being told that the repair had been done only for it to overheat instantly more than once, other vans parts being stored in my van, breaking down within a couple of miles of leaving Elite and them telling me to call the AA, Elite losing my keys and changing all the locks and ignition which then didn't work properly. So yes I can comment. I have since used two specialists from this forum without complaint. I know others on here have also been ripped off.

No-one that knocks Elite ever specify why they have had a problem.

I have one of their rebuilds and its fine.

They are not the most refined organisation, they are nuckle dragging mechanics and thats all they claim to be.

If you send them an email you may get a reply some time, but if you call them they talk to you.
