How hard and how much will it hurt my wallet to put a diesel golf say engine into a petrol t25

I'd say £1.5k if doing a lot yourself. Don't know too much about the petrol to diesel conversion but I've paid for someone else to put a 1Y engine in my van.
1982 Diesel hightop. 1Y engine. Still work in progress but running and taking us on holidays.
