Seats that fit

Post by doenut82 »

Thinking of putting new leather seats in my van but I don't know which seats will fit out of what car. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are no other non-VW seats that will slide straight on to the runners, so modifications will be required, usually welding T25 runners onto a different make of flat-bottomed seat. If you have swivel bases already fitted it will make fitting something else much easier, just drill and bolt.

Anything with a flat bottom to it will work - Rover, Porsche 911/924/944 and VW T4 seats, too. Many people have fitted Saab seats - flat-bottomed and also renowned for comfort. Here's a page with a write-up of fitting some...

What's wrong with your original seats? I find them comfortable over any distance - if yours are shot, maybe just replace like-for like?

Do they have to be leather?
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?
