Can anyone bring a small Reimo pop top from Germany to UK???

I've got a problem, planned to fit an SCA 08 Hubdach or Reimo equivalent

on my van and have built the roof lining ready for the pop top. Trouble is the UK "dealers" for SCA and Reimo in the UK are adding up to 50% on the German asking price which is pushing it over my budget.

Does anyone on here go to Germany regularly that could bring one back direct from a Reimo or SCA dealer? The Hubdach roofs are quite small about 1200 x 1200 max and weigh around 40kg.

If anyone can help happy to pay for the time etc and collect in UK

Ask them to give you a quote from a courier like DHL. It might be less than you think.

Reimo and SCA will not ship direct, as far as the dealers tell me. The dealers bring it back on a lorry and charge £400 odd extra.

I have nothing personal against dealer's but if you build nothing, do nothing, change your story every five minutes, take 3 weeks to raise an invoice and add £400 on despite at the outset saying you would not, then you are not really a dealer of anything, you are just a parasitic scroat. Sadly this was the case for all the dealers I found except for one in Barnsley who was decent, but it still works out at £1200 for a Reimo roof from them, when a German say can buy an SCA 08 roof for £740 and a Reimo roof for £940.
