Installing sliding window

I have just acquired a sliding window ,used but in decent condition.
I have never fitted one of these and would like a few tips before I attempt it.
Ok so the replacement window is a little larger and I am going to need to cut the van and i will need to cut the hole a little larger than the frame..can you tell me how much i need to leave so as the rubber can catch ok?....i am thinking 10mm after checking the window that was removed.
Also will i need to use window bonding sealant?
And as far as I can gather these sliding windows do not use beading and are fitted with just the seal?

Finally I have read that to fit these one needs to put some string around the seal and fit from the outside in, pulling the rubber lip over the van panel.There are two grooves or channels on these window seals and I assume its the larger outside groove that is to be used to seal this to the van??

OK that's a factory window designed to fit in a factory recess
I believe the recess is flanged to take the seal.

Might have to get a beaded seal to fit it

ignoring seals etc, will the new frame physicaly fit in the existing hole?
if so then do that and mark around its perimieter.
if not then remove it from the frame and make a card template the Exact size of the window frame less the seal then before cutting out you need to have the seal in your possesion to measure its root (crossbar in a letter H for guidance) then take a scribe and add 2mm to thisd and mark a line around the frame, this you cut out and stick to the van , personally i like to fix the femail portion to the van if there is a hole already but call is yours, then cut hole JUST insdide your marks(felt tip)

oh and you will need 3mtrs of specific seal together with locking insert,

Thanks for the info ,so basically the hole just needs to be a couple of mil larger than the frame being fitted?
I am assuming conversion seal will do ok but would welcome a second opinion ..

second opinion ??? on what ?
no reread, the hole has to be the size of your bare frame plus the root of the seal plus 2mm at least the last 100+ i have fitted tended to utilize that arrangement,
