Curtain Header tape

Post by pfield69 »

Hi guys

Just started winding the old girl up for Easher and need some new curtain header tape. I use the Silent Gliss 3533 runners.

Any idea what header works with these?

Isn't it just standard 1 inch tape?

The stuff I'm looking at doesn't appear to work with the clips. Unless I'm using it wrong!

Google curtain tape and have a look see if it's the same stuff. Also post a picture of what you have

Gliss 3533 runners look like they need hooks into the hole, so normal tape should do.

On Autosleepersthe runners don't have the hole and need a special tape. Both are still available from Autosleeper parts department.

But you can buy runners with holes in and hooks. My auto sleeper had silentgliss runners with no holes and I just bought replacements with holes. They fit the track fine.

Here is a link to my hooks.
They fall off the standard tape.

You are hooking into the correct piece of the header? - just that I have seen people put the hooks into the pleating strings.

I tried to do that at first. The guy at AS put me right and told me the runners fit to the chord running along the very top of the tape. I hadn't noticed it at first. (What a dumbo!)

Thanks guys for all the replies - all sorted now.

My problem on the previous header was that it was stitched on the wrong way round- doh
