Solar panel not recognised
Advice please, I have a 100 watt solar fitted to the high top, which has been stood over the winter months. When I've come to start the van, the solar regulator is flashing that it does not recognise a panel is attached. I've fully charged the leisure battery but no joy with the panel. To say I'm not mechanical is a understatement.

grotty connection at one end of the feed wires from the panel, either where they attacth to the panel , or at the solar controller, or maybe, if you have them the silly inline connectors along the feed line

Yep, you are just going to have to get your multimeter out and start doing some voltage measurements to find out where the break in the circuit is.
If this sort of thing is outside your experience, you would be best finding a friend who knows about such matters to help you.

Had this happen on mine out of the box. Multimeter soon found it, blob of solder and I was up and running 20 mins later.
