Has anyone fitted a remote oil cooler to a 1.6td JX? I could do with some advice and some pictures.
Are they fitted as well as the coolant oil cooler or not?

Re: Oil cooler advice
Generally they are fitted as well as the VW oil / coolant heat exchanger.
The main way people fit one is with a sandwich take off plate between the above heat exchanger and the oil filter with pipework from that along the underside of the van to an oil radiator at the front. You'll also probably need a slightly shorter oil filter, which you can get from Brickwerks.
Brickwerks do an oil cooler kit which has all the bits you need, although it's out of stock at the moment. The listing however will give you an idea as to what is entailed - they also have a fitting guide on their site for the radiator up front.
