I am considering getting one of these and would appreciate any feedback from folks that have one - they seem good value

Don't know about that one, I have the quick erect tourer classic, it's fantastic, got a lot of recommendations on here

Lodgey,
Thanks for the response.
Is yours the Motordome ? If so, probably too big for my needs. I sounds as though the Khyam make is pretty good

It is the motorhome, when we first got it we too thought it too big and I was up for selling, now we've used about a dozen times and the space is great for eating, sitting, sleeping, drying my dog etc etc, really really suited with it.

Re: Khyam Compact Awning - Verdict ?
We have one of these. It is obviously more difficult to put up than the "easy up" option......but much cheaper.
I don't think it would be possible for one person to manage it alone, but once up, it is a good size and sturdy.
Keep an eye out for offers. I think we paid £130 for ours.

IMHO I always think this type of awning does not suit this type of van, I don't doubt that they are easier to errect and are more practical but a classical style looks much nicer.

We have the smaller version of this for weekend trips when it's just the two of us and the two dogs it takes about 10 mins too pitch and works a treat. Gives that extra bit of room as well

We also have the drive away sleeper can't rate them highly enough

Many thanks for the feedback folks.
Mind's made up, will purchase tomorrow. Some of the festivals we go to do not allow tents next to the van but awnings are acceptable. This will be perfect as there are only two of use, one in the van and one in the awning.
