Engine mount bar...bolts ?

Post by boardmonkey »

Hi,

I had to cut off my bolts when I dropped the lump out...need to replace those...have seen they are 8MM but not sure of length or tensile strength required....

Can someone advise ?

Thanks, Richard

Measure the grip, add about 12 - 15mm for the nut and projection.
The grade of bolt will likely be 8.8. You can use set screws (threaded all the way) if you are unsure of the exact length.

Yes 8.8 M8x30 and nylock nuts, there is also a load spreader plate on top and washers, thats for a WBX.

4mm and they even have a radius on the edge to get them close to the chassis, best to get some second hand I think if you can, try nwvw or wagonbuild
