Rear interior light running off starter battery?!

My rear interior light usually runs off my leisure battery, now I noticed it turns on when my leisure battery is disconnected, I had it in for a service the other day they checked the whole van out but were waay to expensive so I went with someone else I just rang them to see if they touched anything but they said they didn't ...
Hmmmm.....


Is it fairly straight forward to get it to run off my leisure battery again??... .

Have you got a Zigg if so what is the supply switch set to. Van or aux bat.

My interior lights run off both the leisure and starter depending on which setting I have the zig unit.
do you have a zig unit?

No I don't have a zig unit.

Then you must have a switch somewhere that changes the camper electrics from leisure to van battery

Or your split charge relay is damaged

Or the van was running when you tried it.
Or, possibly, the relay is wired to ignition so it activates when in `on` position, and not to altenator wire to activate the relay when van is running?

Try it with the keys out - or clarify if possible.

Also, how do you know definitively that it `was` wired to leisure battery?
( Did the last owner tell you that, or did you do it yourself etc etc. )
