Non starter.
Hi all. First of all apologies for my absence on the site for the last 2 years or so. I have been quite a busy boy in work, mostly overseas and with out much internet. I am now back in the world for a while and the other week, whilst trying to get my van up and running after a period of no use, I attempted to start It and after a period of maybe 5 or 6 seconds of cranking the engine I heard a distinctive pop from what seemed to be under the van and then silence. I still get all my dash lights and it will start off a bump but no second stage of the starter, just a small click. Any ideas anyone?? before I go outside rolling around in the snow?? Oh forgot to mention 2.1 mv petrol van manual gearbox. Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Non starter.
Probably a poor or broken connection on the starter solenoid, someone more informed will be along soon to give a more detailed opinion, cheers.

Re: Non starter.
at a guess the live cable from the coil to the starter has burnt out, braided, tend to rust from the outside
new starter motor if I'm right
