Oil and filter change !

OK so I have my oil and filter but can't seam to find the sump oring/seal.can I get away with just using the existing one or should I just get new one to save any hassle.can't find one in halfords or auto parts .mmm any suggestions?is it called a certain thing and I'm just not exeplaining my self correctly to them ?I'm stuck I thought it would have been easy street. Lol :?

Afternoon, I usually order mine with the oil/filter from Brickwerks but my local motor factors also sells them. I don't use Halfords for anything after crap service in the past. Plenty on e bay[copper compression washer].

If its a copper seal you can anneal it and use it again.If its one of the compression types it needs replacing.If you have a local GSF branch they sell the seals.Or

I reuse them at least twice, the sump bung should only be a 1/8 of a turn past finger tight anyway ....

I really struggled to find a washer for mine, it's not a standard size that my local motor factors keep.
Ordered the stock & oversized from brickworks, both wrong.
B plate 1.9 petrol bus

I once plaited one from copper wire (as in plaited hair). Lasted until the next oil change so clearly it worked.
