Petrol to diesel doka to bus
Can anyone answer this ! I have just fitted a 1600 td engine and gearbox that came out of my doka into my B reg caravelle which was petrol. It seems to sit very much higher in the engine bay!.Ihave used the cradle from the doka.Would i be right in thinking the cradles are different from a doka to a bus? Thanks in anticipation!!!!!!!!!

nope, the engine bays appear different doka has only partial engine bay top compared to the van which is complete and has the lid across it, ie the lids are at different heights
of course it depends where you welded the rear mounting plates for the diesel engine to the shell

Yep ,thanks , I realise the lids are at different heights. I Didnt need to do any welding as i used the original holes that the diesel cradle would have fitted to on the chassis rails. Its just that the engine sits above the lid , but didnt sit so high on my previous caravelle
