Eberspacher insulation

Hi guys,


Ive just got in from fitting my eber d2 to my t25 autosleeper (what a labour of love)...I have mounted it under the Rear seat/bed with the outlet duct coming out of the kick panel. The heater works fine, gets very hot and basically dpes what its supposed to do.

My question is, is there any insulation you guys would recommend putting round the outlet pipe? The pipe is only about half a meter (if that) in length, but gets untouchably hot, and im just worried it melts/cooks something!

Any suggestions?

Ours is in the same place so I built ours into a box which covers it and the pipe. Just make sure there's enough air circulation to it and it can't get blocked.

Brilliant thankyou thats the reassurance I needed. So as long as all the pipes can breathe, theoretically ill have no overheating issues?

I made sure the "box" didnt touch it and the intake has an unobstructed flow.

Can I be a bit cheeky and ask if you could post up some photos of your installation you have done? This is a job I have to do at some stage and to see photos and perhaps a short write up would be very useful to me - and others I guess. Could you include your wiring you did as well?
I have seen the video that Jed has produced, but always good to see what others have done.
