T25 MECHANIC

Post by Trevkent55 »

Hello, I need a pro mechanic or someone who is an expert with T25 transporters to have a look at the engine in my 1983 T25 high roof transporter.
I'm a novice as far as camper vans are concerned, purchased this vehicle October 2015.
the engine when idling cuts out every now and then and starting up can be a bit of a chore.
So if there is anyone out there who lives in or near Clapham London, let me know, would love to have a smooth running engine before I think about upgrading the interior.
Thanks

Hi welcome to the club.
What engine do you have in ? If you post it up theres a wealth of knowledge on here, could be an easy diy fix saving you money for your interior, again welcome.

Ok I'll guess it's a petrol.
Do some simple stuff like change the fuel filter (by the tank)
Ideally renew your vacuum lines or check that they are on.
If it still persists come back and we'll move on

A bit of a journey, but if your van can handle it you should go to see Len and his sons at J C Motors in Hackney.
