Stainless Hub Caps

Post by freckvan1 »

No rain today and light till fourish !

Has anyone purchased or read reports of Stainless Hub Caps on sale at Sunshine Campers ?

I've been in touch and received a quick response with spec., 304 Stainless and .75/1,00 mm thick,
priced at £25, which seems pretty ok really .

Thought of Powder Coating which works out at £80 for the four caps, degrease, blast, powder coat,
at another £20 Stainless seems the best option .

All the best to everyone, :ok

dunno what standard hubcap thickness is but at 25 quid each worth a punt on one to try
304 stainless is not the best spec 316 is better but 304 is ok, I'd be more worried about dents if they are too thin.
don't even consider powder coating, will look rubbish

you are the guinea pig, maybe worth waiting a day or 3 for other reccomendations

Or if you have no VW soul like me, you could get some old stainless hubcaps off a Rover P6. They cover the whole wheel so no beauty rings needed! :run
