Mounting speakers into door card?

Basically you mount speaker pods on front bulkhead deep under the dash. Lot easier with dash out ofcourse in terms of drilling. And no, they're not muffled.

Or you've built decent speakers into a box before mounting them onto the bulkhead? How much clearance is there behind the dash for a box? I haven't got my van home yet, hopefully next week

They were a Gumtree bargain. Chap had them all made up for his van by Retro Retrims but decided to go back to the original material. Got both door cards, sliding door and one side panel for £50.
