Car window replaced - quick service

Post by Ralf85 »

Alex had her rear window smashed as she was driving yesterday night. She called the insurance company to get it fixed. A big name company (no names) said they could sort it out next Tuesday! I got in touch with a local company just before lunch. They came around and replaced it this afternoon. Result. Thanks to people leaving London to go to visit families for xmas there was space for the guy to park up and sort it out. So if you want your screens fixed quickly in the smoke go for Screentech windscreens - quick service!

My guess is some lad threw a stone or fired an airgun at the car. The replacement window with heater element was fitted for £210+VAT. Bearing in mind the fitting took over an hour, I thought that the cost was fair!

can you claim it back on the insurance?
Time is a drug. Too much of it kills you

Yep most of it. Alex has to pay the first £50 excess. So that's a result for a young woman who was so upset when she was told she would have to wait 6 days to get the problem solved!
