Just been thinking about a better ratio box for my van running a 2.0 na legacy engine. Anyone running a Subaru motor will know that it revs rather high at high speeds. I know you can use a flipped Renault gearbox and just seen someone mentioning using a flipped Passat box?
Is anyone using a different box bolted to a Subaru engine? Would love to change the gearing so it's not reving so much and cause drinking the fuel. Is there a easy and cheap conversion?
Flipped gearbox for Subaru engine.

Ah yes. I read the first couple of comment on this thread when it started. Very interesting and something worth looking into.

I'm running 245/45s on the back. Can't go no bigger or she won't look as good

Was hoping that I could get a box with a little bit of feckling would bolt straight in.
