HI all
I am trying to get to grips with the coolant hoses on my EJ25 lump.
I have a attached a picture showing the numbered pipe inlets/outlets which I am not sure where they go.
Any help would be appreciated.
What I know so far:
Number 3 is for the brake booster ( I think I can swap the nipple over on the scubie manifold for it to line up better with the brake booster line???)
Number 1, 2 and 4 I know are for coolant lines however I do not how they link up or where they lead to?
2 and 4 are the throttle body heater circuit, stops it freezing in very cold start-up conditions.
1 is just a bleed-off to vent air from the top coolant manifold.
I would connect 1 and 2 to the bleed rail if you still have it, but maybe not combine them close together with a tee in case the throttle body doesn't vent air.

I can't recall if 4 is a feed or an exit. They are basically bleed lines.
You could go from 1 to 2 and then use 4 as an exit, because 1 is definitely outflow. Not got an EJ anymore...

the throttle body water pipes are not part of the diagram they mostly stay as they were in the car other than the connection from the water manifold which is reversed; the pipeson the left of your pic will be shaped to fit in one position only it should be pretty obvious how they connect; I can't be more helpful as your engine is different to mine, putting the engine code and year up would help others identify if yours is same as theirs; mine is EJ25D 1998 for example, the D shows it's the quad cam n/a engine, mostly fitted to Legacy
taking pics of pipes before removal of the inlet manifold to get at the main water manifold helps put the jigsaw back together
if you have the RJES water pipe kit then that includes a new piece of hose with a 90 bend in it to make the connection from the big water manifold to the throttle body, that may be 4 in your pic as the reversed manifold means the spigot is now facing the back of the alternator rather than that bent hose hanging off 4,routing the new connection takes a bit of care - that should make sense looking at the manifold and where it was before....
