Bosch 044, Half price, WHY.

Post by zxr750 »

Came across this, on the bay of E.
Can anyone see why it's half the price, I've seen others go for?
Seller seem's to have good feedback.
How can you tell a fake or am I missing something?

Not sure how you tell if it's a fake but there are loads out there at the mo ,, I went for a sytec pump instead as there very good pumps and a lot of Subaru owners (like myself) have now swapped over to sytec instead of the 044

Would you say one of these is as good as the 044 or would I have to go up market a bit more?
Trouble is I'm on a budget, reason being I've already spent a fortune on converting an air cooled van to EJ20.

This thread would be better in the alternative engine section, is it possible to move it there?

The second two would be my choice as iv only ever seen black sytec pumps , I'm sure they prob do them in silver aswell but iv only seen them in black first hand :ok

Magic, Thanks Domino.
How do you delete it out the mechanical section?

I take it the higher the OTP number the better.
I need about 6m of 8mm and a short piece of 12mm fuel hose, any suggestion on what and where to go for that?

I get all my pipe work from advanced automotives in Bristol , Subaru engine specialist and good friend and very helpful , also sell the pumps and can give advice if needed (quoting my user name may get a discount aswell )
