Viking roof lining.

Post by zxr750 »

Hello,
is there anywhere that do a replacement headlining for the pop top part of the super Viking roof?
Mine's moldy and ripped.
If there isn't a replacement, what's been done to overcome this problem?
Any help/advice will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Headlining or roof canvas though?

Roof canvas, the above link is great. For headlining would a generic headline material from the likes of Martrim be suitable?

From memory the lining inside the fibreglass roof in mine is just a perforated vinyl, as used in many vehicle headlinings. It's held in place with a million staples. In mine, the material doesn't quite match the original headlining in the cab, but they've used the same material to make the headlining in front of and behind the hole in the roof. It's joined to the original cab headlining just above the backs of the front seats.

It's quite expensive for what it is I think, and there's quite a lot needed to re-line the pop top roof. There are various places selling perforated vinyl, such as this ebay advert (although they seem to be out of stock of white and cream). Without comparing it to what's in my roof I can't guarantee it's the same stuff, but it's on the right lines.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply's.
Yes it's the perforated vinyl in the fiberglass roof I was asking about.
I'd come across the stuff as sold on ebay when searching before but I was wondering if there was anywhere that done a direct replacement.
Thanks again.
