Drivers seat lifts up towards door. What's missing

Post by Middle29 »

Hi all - my drivers side seat seams to have something missing as you can lift up the side. So you can tip it horizontally so the side by the handbrake lifts up and it leans towards the door. I'm assuming something is missing that holds it down.

Any ideas?

cheers

Does it sit lopsided? Could be it's not sitting in the runner that secures it on both sides. There's a little lock tab at the ends of the runners that's bent down so the seat can't come out, it could be that one or both have been relaxed to allow the seat to come off and not refitted again properly.

I agree. Happened to mine when I wasn't careful refitting the seat to the runner

Hi all thanks for the replies - I always forget to check the 'email me when someone replies' checkbox. Finally got around to fixing this and it was a case of sliding it off & back on again. Simple.

What confused me is the kinda tab bit you have to lift to slide off is on the inside on the passenger seat but the outside on the drivers. Not sure if it's meant to be that way around.
