Sad T25 needing garage

Post by greybilly »

Good evening everyone, we were on the forum before but have just registered again as we've moved in last year, busy time & forgot password.
We have T25 1.9dg petrol engine. Does anyone know of a good garage who does work on the older vans in the Torbay area please, the garage we have used can no longer carry out this work. Any help really welcome, thank you.

Might be worth giving this chap a call - looks like he specialises in air cooled but sure he'd have a look at your bus:

I have used this guy - very good but a bit further from home for you (plymouth)

Pretty good with engines too

Thanks, will take a look. Most work hubby can do but looks like problem with recon engine leaking water & oil from same cylinder head & not enough room in our garage for him to strip it down plus he's worried he could do more damage than good. Thanks for help

You can do it :)
Great advantage of our vans is the ready made work bench in the back. You could have that engine out in one evening and with a Haynes manual, this forum and some good lighting, you'll be well on your way to building a new engine...and wave goodbye to anymore garage bills. I spent last winter doing mine, good experience.
