t25 will start after running out of petrol

hi ..i have a t25 caravelle 2.1 injection with lpg convertion .i ran out of petrol today and she will not start,can any body help with the problem please .harry

Your header is not so clever trevor. Are you saying it wont start on lpg or petrol

Will it not start on petrol or on lpg or both? Have you switched it over to lpg?

hi ..yes felt a right empty head ..like the tank ..i have put fuel in but will not fire up on petrol or lpg

ok full story .i had small service on van ..ie.plugs,oil filter,air filter,new oil.got in van to go out and noticed fuel was very low ..as the petrol station is only a few miles away ..i started to drive there,just as i approached the station van ran out of petrol so switched to lpg..but found that was empty also ..cruised into garage and fill up ..came out to start van .but it would not start on either fuel

I ran out of petrol on the a77 last night, put the fuel in and waited for a few minutes and turned her over no problems, u st give her time.

Is it a mechanical fuel pump and is there any fuel in the carb?

If you allowed it to run low, the fuel filter may well be clogged up with 30 years of crap from the fuel tank. That will stop fuel getting through. Have you checked it?

If it's injection, it probably always starts on petrol whichever fuel is selected on the switch.
Try forcing a gas start by pressing and holding the button on the lpg switch whilst turning on the ignition and starting the van. A useful feature when you have petrol woes.

..i put a new electric fuel pump on today ,,still wont fire up so i will check filter tomorrow ..if filter is blocked can the be cleaned ?

electric fuel pump ..ive put a new one on today still wont start ..

found the filter ok and the pump ..have replaced pump with new one today ..still wont start ..

i tried still would not start ..replace fuel pump today ..still wont start
