Wiring diagrams in colour

Post by petethefeet »

Hi all,
Having briefly owned a T2 I found a number of complete colour wiring diagrams for download, but i cannot find one for a T25.
I am looking for a early (1982) CU Aircooled diagram.
The Bentley book has the diagrams but in black and white and not very good quality, the Haynes book is about the same (probably the same diagram).
I have the luxury of being able to print to an A1 plotter at work so I was going to print it to a good side to pin on the garage wall.
Anybody help??

VW didn't change colour codes of wiring, so much of the earlier stuff is very similar. I still use a laminated diagram I have from earlier VWs as its sometimes quicker than trying to figure out what goes where. I'm comfortable reading either diagram type to be honest. Clearly VW did change things including generator to alternator and more things on the dash but when you're trying to trace the common stuff, this comes in handy (I keep it in the back of my manual) :

Otherwise, there isn't one. Haynes for one, changed the format in the early 70s

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
I spent half a hour this morning trying to get a good copy out of the Haynes manual so I could print it on A3, but could not get the quality to print it at a larger size.
Time for some reading glasses
