Gross Vehicle Weight and avoiding London Low Emission Zone

Unaware of the implications, my mate left the GVW blank on the DVLA registration form as it wasn't obvious what it was what on the Polish log book! Whether TFL would have just accepted a figure below 2500kg if he'd have written that down, or if they'd have challenged it with their 2600kg figure - I don't know.

Update: DVLA changed the body type to MPV, and TFL now recognise the vehicle as exempt from the London LEZ. Nice one gang, thanks for your help.
